A community-based acute care hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Surgeon (MD/DO) to join its team. Position Overview- Full-time, employed position
- Bread and butter general surgery with endoscopic procedures
- No trauma responsibilities
- Shared, light call schedule supporting work-life balance
- No robotics required
- Recently renovated facility with significant capital investment
- Multiple operating rooms with modern surgical equipment
- Dedicated endoscopy/procedure suite
- Experienced and tenured operating room staff
- Established anesthesia coverage
- Supportive and collaborative administration
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Visa Sponsorship: Not available (J-1 or H-1B)
Located in eastern Kentucky, this community offers a low cost of living and a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by natural beauty. The area offers access to outdoor recreation, including hiking, fishing, boating, and nearby state parks. Residents enjoy a close-knit community atmosphere while still being within driving distance of larger metropolitan areas, including Lexington.
Requirements
Qualifications- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Comfortable performing general surgery procedures with scopes
- Ability to work in a non-robotic surgical environment
- Prior experience preferred
