Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions on the Med/Surg unit
- Assess patient/family needs, develop and implement an individualized plan of care with the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications and treatments, and document in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families, including discharge planning and self-care after hospitalization
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care and promote patient safety
- Promote a healing environment and provide emotional support to patients and families

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg
- Ability to work 3x12 rotating shifts (day or night)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a high-demand hospital setting
