Senior Risk Analytics & Portfolio Analyst (Automotive)

Overview Full‑Time | Hybrid | Location Flexible (U.S.) Senior Risk & Data Analyst — you will play a key role in advancing data‑driven loss control, underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management strategies across vehicle service contracts, GAP, and ancillary products. What You’ll Accomplish With Us Risk Analytics & Portfolio Management (60%) Analyze portfolio performance across products (VSC, GAP, Tire & Wheel, etc.) to identify trends, loss drivers, and profitability opportunities Develop and monitor KPIs related to loss ratios, frequency/severity trends, and reserve adequacy Conduct deep‑dive analyses on claims trends, inflation impacts (parts/labor), and emerging risk patterns Provide recommendations to leadership on reserves, underwriting guidelines, and program structure Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with data‑driven insights Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence (20%) Design and automate reporting solutions to improve visibility into underwriting and claims performance Contribute to dashboards and analytical tools using Excel, BI tools, Salesforce, and other platforms Standardize reporting frameworks to ensure consistency and audit‑readiness Partner with IT to enhance data structures, data quality, and system capabilities AI & Process Automation (20%) Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve underwriting and reporting workflows Assist in implementing tools or models that streamline decision‑making (e.g., exception handling, claims trend detection) Partner with cross‑functional teams to incorporate AI‑driven insights into operational processes Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and accuracy Qualifications 5+ years of experience in underwriting, risk analytics, actuarial support, or financial analysis Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, data analytics, or a related field Experience in automotive, insurance, or F&I products (strongly preferred) Exposure to actuarial concepts such as loss development, reserving, and pricing methodologies Experience with BI tools (Qlik, PowerBI) and working with large datasets Intermediate English proficiency for regular communication with leadership, product teams, claims, and IT Benefits Flexible Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO plan Employee and family assistance program Ergonomic furniture program Performance bonus Hybrid work environment with flexible workspace options Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to support or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, including H-1B visas and STEM OPT.
