Traveling Quality InspectorTRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for a Traveling Quality Inspector in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift job. The scheduled hours are 5:30AM - 2:00 PM Mon-Fri and the pay range is $17.00 - $18.00 / hr.Reports to Site Supervisor/Site LeadsQuality Inspector ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship & Business DevelopmentThe Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.OperationsThe Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.Organization & ManagementCommunicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.TechnicalMUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.Knowledge, skills, abilitiesHard skills· Proficiency in English· Excellent written and verbal communications skills· Ability to Coordinate, prioritize and multitask· Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment· Ability to take initiative and recognize needs· Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material· Ability lift /move 30 pounds· Must have reliable transportationWork experienceOverall recommendations1+ year in Quality related position.Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.Basic knowledge of quality control methods.Education backgroundOverall recommendationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent
