Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher for an assignment starting in late July and running through late May. This contract opportunity offers two openings for dedicated professionals eager to support students between the ages of 5 and 8 in a setting with a small caseload—fewer than 12 children per teacher. Work closely with school staff in a collaborative, supportive environment, delivering vital special education services and personalized instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Teacher Certification is required
• Experience in special education, particularly with elementary-aged students, is highly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong skills in progress monitoring, data collection, and classroom management
• Ability to supervise classroom assistants and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction tailored to individual education plans
• Implement and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance and appropriate documentation
• Monitor student progress, collect relevant data, and communicate milestones to stakeholders
• Complete all IEP-related paperwork and meet deadlines
• Supervise classroom assistants and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Take on additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Assignment Details:

• Full-time schedule: 37-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Assignment starts July 22, 2026, and ends May 28, 2027
• Caseload consists of fewer than 12 students, ages 5-8
