Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Pipefitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all piping systems operate efficiently and meet industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, gas, steam, or other substances
Perform pipe threading and cutting using appropriate tools and equipment.
Use power tools effectively to assist in the installation and maintenance of piping systems.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards, including fire sprinkler fitting requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Proficient in welding techniques, particularly FCAW.
Experience with pipeline installation and maintenance is preferred.
Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and equipment.
Competence in using various power tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of plumbing principles, codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
