Construction Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction operations. This role is ideal for a Project manager or superintendent with a strong understanding of the end-to-end construction process, particularly within earthwork-intensive heavy highway projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations across heavy highway construction projects
• Manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through execution and closeout
• Coordinate field operations, scheduling, manpower, equipment, and subcontractors
• Drive productivity, quality, safety, and cost control across projects
• Collaborate with project management, estimating, and executive leadership
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with company standards

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in heavy highway construction, with a strong emphasis on earthwork
• Solid operational understanding of grading, excavation, roadway construction, and site development
• Experience with bridge and or utility work is a plus, but not required
• Preference for candidates with experience working in the Northeast market
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
