This role requires an organized and motivated individual responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.Primary Responsibilities• Prepare a variety of tax returns including individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, retirement plans, non-profits, and multi-state entities• Prepare workpaper files to support tax returns• Analyze client data• Prepare trial balances• Provide adjusting journal entries as needed• Compile financial statements• Assist with correspondence with IRS and other taxing authorities• Assist with tax projections and estimated payments• Assist with tax research• Assist with special projects as neededRequirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher• Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook• Willingness to work overtime when necessary• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Cooperative attitude and ability to work well with others• Completion of required continuing professional education• Upholds company values and ethics
