About the Position

Pending license accepted. Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Charge experience required - Experience with patient ratios of 4 - Experience with charting systems required Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in behavioral health. The nursing staff will work in a secured adult inpatient behavioral health unit. The unit accommodates both voluntary and involuntary patients for evaluation and treatment. Nurses will be involved in providing education and 1:1 group activities with patients. Staff may have the opportunity to float to medical/surgical care areas as needed. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Daily census is expected to be three patients. The unit has four beds and three rooms available for patient care. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various mental health diagnoses. Nurses must be familiar with specific skills including medication administration and trauma-related disorders. Knowledge of charting systems, specifically Cerner, is preferred. Compliance with facility protocols and procedures is essential.
