We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking experienced Medical Assistants and medically trained candidates to join our local Resource Team! This is a benefits-eligible, full-time position working 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week), Monday through Friday, with some rotating Saturday morning shifts required. The position is based at our Broadway clinic, 2750 Broadway St., Boulder, CO 80304, and travel within Boulder County-to our Arapahoe location Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, or Erie locations-may be required, depending on the provider or clinic being covered.

Job Duties:

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
• Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
• Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
• Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system

• Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and work at all four (4) BMC sites, as assigned.
• Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed.

Education Requirements (one of the following options) :

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. *College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:

• $18.91 - $27.98/Hour

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
