Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor coordinates shop-floor workflows, schedules worker shifts, enforces safety protocols, and troubleshoots operational bottlenecks. The goal is to optimize output while minimizing waste, downtime, and safety incidents.

  Core Responsibilities

• Manage Workflow: Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and distribute daily production targets to floor staff.
• Ensure Safety: Enforce OSHA regulations, verify PPE usage, and conduct safety training.
• Monitor Quality: Perform product inspections, enforce quality metrics, and address defects immediately.
• Lead Teams: Onboard, train, coach, and handle disciplinary actions for assembly workers.
• Maintain Equipment: Partner with maintenance teams to handle machine breakdowns and schedule preventative repairs.
• Track Inventory: Monitor raw material levels to avoid manufacturing delays or shortages.
• Analyze Performance: Document daily output numbers, track KPIs, and submit shift summaries to management.
• Optimize Processes: Apply lean manufacturing methods like 5S or Six Sigma to reduce floor waste.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3 to 7 years in manufacturing, with at least 1 to 3 years in a leadership role.
• Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP software, inventory control, and manufacturing machinery.
• Soft Skills: Strong conflict resolution, clear communication, and ability to handle high-pressure deadlines.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk the factory floor, and lift heavy parts during long shifts.
• Bilingual is a plus - Spanish
