Fuel Driver

Fuel DriverA Fuel Driver is responsible for delivering loads of petroleum products to customer locations in a safe, efficient manner, and within a specified window of time, at the direction of dispatch. These deliveries may take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in nearly any kind of weather. This position has a competitive compensation package including a Quarterly Driver Safety Bonus Program up to $1,500.00.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeliver loads in a safe and timely mannerCorrectly follow all Offen policies and procedures as well as local and federal lawsSafely operate a variety of equipment, including (but not limited to) power units, power take off, hydraulic pumps, gravity drop tank trailers and tank wagonsWear company uniforms and use all required personal protective equipment at each terminal and customer locationFollow all current Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulationsComply with mandatory drug and alcohol standardsEnsure that the company vehicle is safe and reliable to operate and is serviced on a regular basis; ensure repair needs are brought to the attention of the service managerMaintain and abide by legal, electronic logs, and maintain a paper log if necessaryAttend required driver training and safety meetingsProperly and timely complete delivery paperwork and turn in at the end of every shiftOther duties as assignedRequired/Preferred Education & ExperienceHigh school degree or equivalent preferredValid Class A commercial driver's license with tanker and hazmat endorsementsNeeds to have a valid driver's license for the state you will be operating inAt least 3 years of satisfactory driving history required; previous fuel delivery experience not required, but preferredKnowledge of DOT and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance regulationsGeneral comfort working with technology including ability to work with our fleet management system (Samsara) phone and emailMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishMust be able to operate trucks with manual and automatic transmissionsAbility to coordinate with other drivers in slip-seat situationsSelf-motivated, responsible, and detail oriented, with the ability to work both independently and with othersEligible for company benefits including:Health, dental, and vision coverage, effective the 1st of the month following the date of hireCompany paid life insurance and long-term disabilityEmployee paid voluntary benefits such as voluntary life, short-term disability, critical illness, accident, and LegalParticipation in the company 401(k) plan with eligibility for the company match after 6 months of servicePaid time off (PTO)Company paid holidaysWorking Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to lift, push & pull up to 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the course of the shiftAbility to walk, squat, stoop, kneel and bend repeatedly at each delivery locationAbility to enter and exit truck cab multiple times throughout the dayAbility to climb on top of and inspect top of trailerAbility to regularly pass a DOT physical and maintain FMCSA drug and alcohol standardsLegal StatementsOffen Petroleum is an at-will, equal opportunity employer.
