Commercial Insurance Marketing Associate

Brown & Brown has an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Lines Marketing Associate to join our team in Plano, TX! The Marketing Associate will assist in the collaboration and development of marketing plans to include creation of insurance specifications, time lines and complete market selections. This position will be on a hybrid schedule out of our Plano office. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Become familiar with markets' underwriting appetites'; build & maintain positive relationships with underwriters and wholesalers staff
• Maintain internal database (AMS 360/IR), create submissions, applications, proposals etc.
• Maintain Marketing dept. reference and tracking documents
• Coordinate with commercial team in identifying and developing new markets
• Utilize carriers' online portals to download applications and other documentation and to rate policies
• Consult with Account Executive &/or Producer to create marketing strategy
• Prepare submissions and present to markets, negotiate with underwriters
• Prepare client proposals, finance contracts and other documentation needed to bind
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in commercial lines insurance; experience with middle market business, marketing, online quoting a plus
• Texas General Agents license
• Proficient in using computer software & online systems including MS Office & Excel
• Familiar with agency management systems; prior experience with AMS360 &/or Image Right a plus
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
