Responsibilities Under the direction of the Office Manager, Clinical Coordinator or designee and in accordance with the Medical Assistant Group Supervisory Agreement, perform a variety of medical assisting duties within and in support of assigned medical office(s) in the Southcoast Physicians Group. Under the supervision of primary care providers or nurses, and in collaboration with clinic team members and patients/families, provide the highest quality of care and treatment for all patients. Assist providers with patient care and procedures, facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office, and manage telephone communication with patients, including communicating test results, surgery schedules, procedures and appropriate counsel and follow‑up under the direction of a designated supervisor. Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and related software to update and/or access patient information as appropriate. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. May be responsible for providing medical interpretation in a language other than English for the practice office. Qualifications Completion of four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training National third‑party certification (e.g., AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA) required within 13 months of hire for non‑certified Medical Assistants Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office practice experience BLS certification required Prior experience using an EMR and/or health‑related computer software preferred One year of medical assisting work experience preferred Fluency in a language other than English and medical interpreting preferred Other certifications based on practice specialty may be preferred Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 or be exempt on medical or personal grounds by signing a statement when hired Compensation: Pay rate determined based on level of experience Pay Range USD $21.94 - $28.56 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
