Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)Our Mission: We are professionals committed to serving others, nurturing life, and promoting an individual's ability to thrive.Position Summary:Assists and supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department in accordance with all governmental regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, Medical Director, and/or DON, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.Qualifications: If you meet the below – please apply!Valid RN license, in good standing, current CPR and BLS certificationsMinimum, two (2) years' experience as a supervisor in health care settingMinimum six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practicesOutstanding communication (oral/written), organizational and time management skillsProficiency with PCC a plusAbility to multi-task and treat everyone at work kindly and professionallyWorks collaboratively and independently, following procedures and guidelines, making recommendations for improvementsCompletes tasks on time, reporting up on successes, challenges, and offering solutions to problemsResponsibilities:Monitors scheduling and staffing to ensure daily PPD requirements are metAids nursing staff as needed (includes admissions, medication passes, wound care, etc.)Participates in developing, updating and implementing department policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.Interacts with residents and families/responsible parties and staff; instilling confidence in care, answering questions, giving directions and ensuring care plans are followedWorks with MDS Coordinator to schedule care plan meetings and reviewing resident records to ensure they are updated and accurateAssist in developing and communicating a nursing service organization structureParticipates in discharge planningMakes rounds to ensure patient needs are met and employees are completing assignmentsAssists in surveys (inspections); and following up with corrective measuresReports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals as required by state and federal lawRemains up to date on regulations pertaining to clinical and skilled nursing practicesMay serve on committees and work with other department leaders as assignedParticipates in, and complies with, annual facility in-service training programs and requirementsPerforms administrative and clerical duties such as charting, completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., as necessary and/or assignedParticipates in interviewing and selecting appropriate residents for admission to the facility, including PASARR screeningsBenefits:Competitive payHealth Benefits – Medical, dental, and vision coverages with company paying majority of costs for Medical HMO (with buy up plan options available)401(k) with company match (company match begins after 1 year of service)Company paid Life and disability insurancePaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holiday)Employee Assistance programIdentity Theft and Travel insurance protectionsBene-Hub employee sponsored discount programs and more….We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.*Benefits available to full-time employees.
