Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care Assess and treat patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well‑being Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations Order and interpret diagnostic tests Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans Prescribe medication and administer treatments Provide counseling to residents and their families Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress Adjust care plans as appropriate Commit to person‑centered care Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience in long‑term care or a skilled nursing facility Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license DEA license CPR BCLS/BLS certified Must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program A year of experience in Gastroenterology Preferred experience documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.); training provided Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/operate on feet up to 6‑8 hours per day Benefits Competitive salary per annum: $60,000 - $90,000 Paid Time Off Malpractice insurance coverage Why Work With Us?
