Information Security Engineer

Job TitleThis position strengthens the Bank's cybersecurity posture across hybrid environments by designing and implementing secure architectures, advising leaders on risk, and serving as a subject matter expert. This role requires deep knowledge of security architecture frameworks, technical risk management, cloud security, secure system design, and regulatory compliance.In This Role, You WillArchitect and integrate secure, scalable systems using industry frameworksSupport and evolve the Bank's information security strategyArchitect, design and deploy solutions across on-premise and cloud environmentsLead the secure enablement of enterprise AI security systems and integrationsDesign and implement security controls for AI toolsOperate and mature vulnerability management processesMonitor and investigate security events and incidentsProvide advanced technical support and guide junior staffAdvise leaders on cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategiesDeliver security training and awarenessQualificationsBachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.Eight to ten years of information security or closely-related professional experience.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred.Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent cloud security certification.Certified Information Security Architect (SABSA SCF or equivalent) preferred.Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent certification preferred.Advanced understanding of secure networking concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, segmentation, SD-WAN).Working knowledge of industry standards regarding security devices and procedures.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a highly-regulated environment.Why Work HereFHLBank Topeka strives to be an employer of choice by offering industry leading benefits such as generous vacation and volunteer hours.
