Personal Injury Litigation Legal Secretary

Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour

Location: This is a fully on-site opportunity in Sacramento, California, with a steady Monday through Friday schedule.

Note: Must have at least 3+ years of litigation experience and 3+ years of legal secretary experience. Personal injury litigation experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and trial materials
• File documents electronically in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
• Manage attorneys calendars including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
• Track, calendar, and monitor litigation deadlines
• Maintain and organize electronic case files and administrative records
• Coordinate service of process and communicate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and vendors
• Assist with trial preparation including trial documents and witness materials
• Perform administrative and litigation support tasks to keep the practice running smoothly

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience required
• 3+ years of legal secretary experience required
• Personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required
• Experience with legal software and case management systems preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail required
