Grain Elevator Operator

Basics Compensation: $20/hr and up Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift. Usual hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday, with some OT, including weekends. Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc Benefits Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, Paid Holidays, Profit Sharing, and 401(k) with match Over time that pays 1.5 × your hourly rate PPE provided by the company Cold weather clothing reimbursement A culture of safety Uniform Services Time Off (USTO) Uniform Services Differential Pay A culture that appreciates Team Members Responsibilities The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks. Requirements High school diploma or GED Reliable transportation Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Available to work overtime and weekends Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications) Able to pass a criminal background check Physical Requirements This job can be physically strenuous Expected to work in tight and confined spaces Work at heights Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds and occasionally more Ability to ascend/descend ladders Required to wear PPE Additional Information Savage is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug‑free workplace Team members may be eligible for a benefits package that is dependent on hours worked and position classification.
