JOB SUMMARY

Diagnoses and performs electrical and mechanical repairs on cup machines, inspectors, baggers, pre‑expansion machines, conveyors, molds, and associated equipment. Plans layouts, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. Provides controls and automation support, PLC programming, and works with 110 to 480 Volt systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Diagnoses problems by inspecting and disassembling equipment. Performs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and hydro repairs on production machines. Uses drawings, diagrams, operational manuals, and manufacturing specifications to diagnose issues and make repairs. Repairs electrical components, cylinders, valves, pumps, motors, cooling towers, piping, boilers, conveyors, baggers, pre‑expansion machines, and cup machines. Tests circuit continuity and electrical component safety using ohmmeter, battery, buzzer, oscilloscope. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit and pulls wiring. Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. Provides assistance to other maintenance mechanics on production equipment. Notifies the Maintenance Lead of repairs beyond their scope. Performs work safely, including LOTO before making repairs. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Follows GMP and sanitation guidelines and maintains personal hygiene. Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, HACCP, and SQF process requirements; reports non‑compliance to leadership. Follows WinCup OPERA Values, safety initiatives, and plant standards. Performs other duties assigned by Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Lead, or Maintenance Manager, including special projects and vendor coordination. Performs all other duties as assigned. Competencies Follows directives from STM leadership, managers, and supervisors to sustain productivity and target levels. Ensures all company policies, manufacturing policies, and safety procedures are followed at all times. Collaborates with plant, safety, and leadership teams. Completes mandated new manufacturing training on equipment to maximize output efficiencies. Supports all current and new product introductions. Education and Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Four (4) years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with production machinery. Electrical and mechanical aptitude with manual dexterity. Knowledge of 480 V and 240/3‑phase, and 110 V single‑phase systems. Ability to speak, read, and write English for job‐specific paperwork. Works independently and as a team member. Obtains forklift or powered industrial truck certification. Good planning and organizing skills. Possesses own tools, volt‑meter, and amp probe (scope specialty tools provided by WinCup). Works mandatory overtime, early mornings, late evenings, and weekends when required during busy season, inventory, and vacation coverage. Working Conditions Indoor manufacturing environment that may lack air‑conditioning. Exposure to extreme heat. Wears PPE including hairnet, hearing protection, and safety glasses with side guards. Works 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts starting at 6:50 a.m. (day shift) or 6:50 p.m. (night shift). Required to work weekdays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Subject to on‑call activity to ensure equipment is functional. Physical Demands Works 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts while standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting. Manually moves cases of finished goods and other objects up to 40 pounds. 100% tobacco‑free workplace; designated outside smoking area provided.
