The Junior Accountant supports the Accounting team with daily transactions, cost accounting, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities. This role works closely with production and procurement teams and is well suited for an early-career accounting professional seeking hands-on manufacturing accounting experience. Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant supports the Accounting team with daily transactions, cost accounting, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities. This role works closely with production and procurement teams and is well suited for an early-career accounting professional seeking hands-on manufacturing accounting experience. Key Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile AP, AR, and general ledger transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Support inventory costing, cycle counts, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.
- Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with COGS calculations and project cost tracking.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Gather documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist with sales tax filings and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams on cost-related matters.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 0-2 years of related accounting experience; internships may qualify.
- Strong written and spoken English for business communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately with financial data, percentages, ratios, and related calculations.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
- Familiarity with cost accounting and/or manufacturing environments.
- Coursework or experience in financial or cost accounting.
- ERP experience such as SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- CPA track or progress toward certification.
