Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within the OB/GYN specialty, ensuring patient safety and comfort through the delivery of comprehensive care. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff to maintain high-quality clinical practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, promoting health and wellness.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly within the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Possess a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Meet all specialty-specific certifications, including AHA-ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and NRP or ARC-NALS.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent OB/GYN nursing experience.
• Exhibit excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
