Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Buyer to take full ownership of a critical purchasing segment within our high-volume manufacturing operation in Wilmington, Ohio. You will not just be processing orders; you will be the driving force behind the components and materials that keep our production lines moving. In this role, you will partner closely with our internal teams and external suppliers to ensure we deliver life-saving equipment to first responders around the world. What You Will Do: Take complete ownership of purchasing for an assigned section of complex, durable manufactured parts and materials. Build and maintain strong, accountable relationships with suppliers to secure pricing, monitor delivery commitments, and resolve shortages. Collaborate daily with production, scheduling, and quality teams to align material flow with our manufacturing demands. Act as the decisive liaison between suppliers and our internal quality control to investigate non-conforming goods and drive corrective actions. Proactively adjust supplier lead times, order quantities, and safety stock to maintain continuity while controlling inventory costs. Qualifications: 8-10+ years of direct, hands-on purchasing experience. A strong background in durable-goods manufacturing, with a clear understanding of parts, production requirements, and supplier performance. The resilience and communication skills to handle difficult supplier conversations and push for necessary commitments. A proven track record of employment stability and a desire to build a long-term professional home. The agility to adapt to new ERP systems and confidently navigate an FDA-regulated, ISO-certified environment.
