HR Business Partner, Manufacturing Operations

As the HR Business Partner for our manufacturing site, you’ll blend strategy and hands-on support to elevate culture, strengthen capability, and ensure compliance—all while keeping the employee experience at the center.About the locationOur Stryten Energy site in Niagara Falls, NY, is a growing plastic injection molding operation producing plastic components for car batteries. The facility serves a stable, expanding customer base and offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment.CompensationSalary range for this role is $90,000–$100,000 per year. Base pay is influenced by location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation such as bonus, equity, or commissions.What you’ll doEmployee engagement and culture: Lead proactive communications and programs (e.g., focus groups, best-practice research, involvement initiatives) to build connection and drive participation across all departments.Staffing strategy: Partner with business leaders and Talent Acquisition to align headcount with strategy, budget, and staffing plans; ensure requests support company goals.Trusted advisor to leadership: Serve as a confidential counselor to managers and leaders on HR matters and organizational decisions.Employee relations: Conduct confidential investigations; consult with HQ HR on risks, resolutions, and corrective actions as needed.Policy and consistency: Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent processes across teams.Performance management: Guide managers on coaching and development; draft and administer Performance Improvement Plans when appropriate; support merit planning.Learning and development: Facilitate and manage HQ and Americas-based leadership development and training programs; deliver supervisory and management training.Compliance and records: Ensure adherence to AAP, EEOC, OFCCP, FMLA, I-9s, and state/federal regulations; maintain HR records and reports per retention guidelines.Data-driven decisions: Identify key data sources and use HR metrics to inform better decisions and track departmental performance.Cross-functional partnership: Build collaborative relationships, manage competing priorities, and participate in plant staff and other required meetings.Additional duties: Take on other responsibilities to support the team and company objectives.What you’ll bringEducation & experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (PHR/SPHR preferred). 5+ years in HR management covering compensation, employee relations, performance management, employment law, planning, and project management. At least 3 years in a manufacturing plant HR leadership role; strong business acumen in manufacturing required.Core skills: Outstanding time management, organization, and prioritization; strong decision-making; ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt quickly.Collaboration & DEI: Cross-functional expertise with a track record of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word).Confidentiality & judgment: Handle sensitive information with discretion; resolve conflicts independently while following through on plans.Communication & analysis: Able to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public; read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Records & analytics: Maintain accurate employee records and HR analytics for reporting.Language: Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.Safety: Able to administer and comply with all EHS rules and regulations.Physical demands & work environmentPrimarily office-based with occasional time in the manufacturing facility.Exposure may include fumes, dust, airborne particles, and extreme heat/humidity.Noise levels in the plant are generally high.Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb with minimal effort; occasional light lifting.Availability to meet with employees on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts as needed.TravelOccasional travel for conferences and meetings; frequency varies by business needs with advance notice when possible.ProficiencyHuman Resources #J-18808-Ljbffr
