RN - MS Tele

Registered NursePosition is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry. Ratios are 1:4-6, depending on acuity. Experience in telemetry is mandatory. Every other weekend is required. The clinician may float to meet facility needs if necessary. Previous experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Candidates must have skills in non-invasive airway management and peripheral line care/management. Knowledge of isolation precautions and rapid response team activation is necessary. The patient population includes very sick medical/surgical patients. The unit provides care for various medical needs, including acute respiratory failure, CHF, diabetes, and GI bleed. The telemetry system allows for continuous monitoring of patient status. Registered nurses in this unit will manage critical drips, including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. A central monitoring room is available for continuous patient oversight. The unit is equipped with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and social services. Candidates should be prepared to manage hemodialysis and substance withdrawal patients. Experience with computerized documentation is required.
