Field Supervisor

Couey’s CATV is seeking a motivated and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of underground fiber optic construction and directional drilling projects. This role is responsible for leading field crews, ensuring productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting successful project execution in the field. Responsibilities Supervise daily field operations for underground fiber optic and directional drilling projects Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely Coordinate with Construction Managers and Project Managers on schedules and priorities Ensure all locates, permits, and clearances are obtained prior to starting work Monitor production, quality, and progress at assigned job sites Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times Conduct job site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards Maintain accurate daily reports, including production logs and crew activity Communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, and internal teams Identify and resolve field issues, delays, or conflicts in a timely manner Ensure proper use and care of equipment, tools, and materials Assist with training and mentoring field personnel Requirements Must be able to pass a DOT physical Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screenings Valid driver’s license required Experience in underground fiber optic construction and/or directional drilling preferred Strong understanding of construction practices, utility locates, and safety regulations Ability to read and interpret construction plans, prints, and maps Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage crews and work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel between job sites as needed Must be willing to Travel Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
