Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

$2284.80/week - Job Summary: Responsible for providing direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to clinical standards. This role involves managing multiple patient needs with proficiency in IV drips and cardiac medications within a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities: Administer and monitor IV drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone with precision and adherence to protocols. Assess patient conditions regularly, documenting clinical findings and updates accurately. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing immediate and effective interventions. Maintain compliance with licensing, certifications, and hospital policies throughout the shift. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and medication management. Qualifications: Current Alabama RN license required at the time of submission. Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a large healthcare facility. Proficient in managing cardiac drips and understanding of opioid, sedation, and infusion protocols. Prior travel experience preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule, with flexibility for block scheduling. Certified in BLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred.
