Job Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist
Location: Lubbock, TX
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | On-Call Required (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
Pay Rate: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have extensive Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery experience and demonstrate exceptional technical skills in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgical procedures.

• Assist surgeons during cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries by anticipating procedural needs and passing instruments.

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

• Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures according to hospital policy.

• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment used during cardiovascular procedures.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care throughout the surgical process.

• Participate in on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 consecutive years of Cardiovascular (CVOR) Surgical Technologist experience.

• Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery experience required.

• Current NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Technologist certification.

• Previous travel assignment experience required.

• Ability to take on-call for nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
