RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to February 27, 2027 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays! THIS IS AN ED HOLDING SUPPORT POSITION LOCATED IN THE FLOAT POOL - The ED Holding unit has patients located within the Emergency Department that are waiting for an inpatient bed in the hospital. They could have any medical/surgical adult diagnosis. Traveler may have PCU level patients. Travelers are expected to take MS/Tele cases as well as float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Traveler Experience: REQUIRED Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Renal Failure, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Isolation Precautions, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, and Trachesotomy Management Certs: BLS, ACLS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: NIHSS, IV insulin protocols, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Accessing Ports, Central line blood draw, Starting IVs, CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Wound Care/Wound Vac

JOB DETAILS: Ratios: Target Ratios: 1:6 for MS/Tele or 1:4 for PCU level patients. Shift: NIGHT, 36 or 48 hours THIS IS AN ED HOLDING UNIT RTO: 7 days MAX Float Requirement: This unit has patients located within the Emergency Department that are waiting for an inpatient bed in the hospital. They could have any medical/surgical adult diagnosis. Traveler may have PCU level patients. Travelers are expected to take MS/Tele cases as well as float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Any adult Medical/Surgical diagnoses SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: EDIP is our inpatient holding area located within the Emergency Department SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Standard Equipment, cardiac monitors, IV pumps, other monitoring systems UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, Epic, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Manager Schedules UNIT ORIENTATION: 12 hours SCRUBS: Navy MUST PASS EKG TESTING PRIOR TO START FOR THIS SPECIALTY Mixed unit with high acuity patients. Due to high turnover rate, all candidates will be interviewed
