Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care in Vail, Colorado. This 13-week contract assignment offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to mothers and newborns in an acute care setting.

You will be responsible for caring for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients through childbirth and recovery, as well as providing expert care for well newborns and infants in a Level 2 Nursery. This role emphasizes patient education, lactation support, and collaborative teamwork to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum mothers, and newborns, including those in a Level 2 Nursery.
• Manage patient care throughout the childbirth continuum, from admission through recovery and postpartum.
• Deliver expert lactation education and support to new mothers.
• Oversee daily patient flow, triage incoming requests, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in medical procedures, strictly adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, health choices, and wellness promotion.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and in compliance with Colorado state statutes.
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and uphold organizational values and a Just Culture.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
