$20 - $28 per hourR.R. Donnelley
Company Description RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions that elevate engagement across the complete customer journey. The company offers the industry's most trusted portfolio of creative execution and world-wide business process consulting, with services designed to lower environmental impact. With 22,000 clients, including 93% of the Fortune 100, and 32,000 employees across 28 countries, RRD brings the expertise, execution, and scale designed to transform customer touchpoints into meaningful moments of impact. Job Description As a Sheeter Operator, you are the critical link between raw paper rolls and the high-
precision printing process. You'll be responsible for transforming massive rolls of
paperboard into perfectly sized, flat sheets, ensuring the highest standards of quality
and efficiency for our packaging production. Responsibilities: * Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed sheeting equipment to
convert paperboard rolls into precise sheets.
* Quality Control: Constantly monitor sheet dimensions, squareness, and surface quality
to prevent defects (e.g., dust, slitting errors, or scuffing).
* Setup & Changeover: Review job tickets to determine specifications (size, weight,
grain direction) and perform efficient make-ready transitions between different jobs.
* Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on knives,
rollers, and belts to ensure optimal machine performance.
* Material Handling: Operate forklifts or roll-clamping equipment to load heavy rolls onto
the unwind stands.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues or paper-run jams to minimize
downtime. Qualifications * Technical Aptitude: Experience with industrial machinery (preferably sheeters like
Marquip, Goodstrong or Maxson) is a major plus.
* Mathematical Precision: Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and perform basic
calculations for sheet counts and waste percentages.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-
paced manufacturing environment.
* Detail Oriented: A "sharp eye" for catching small defects that could cause issues later
in the printing or die-cutting stages.
* Safety First: Strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and PPE Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $ 20.00- $28.00 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts. All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of both a pre-employment background and drug screen. RRD is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans
