This Accounting Specialist opportunity offers the chance to contribute to daily accounting operations, build relationships with customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounts receivable, cash applications, or general accounting, along with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Someone who can manage recurring responsibilities, communicate professionally with customers, and learn new systems and processes will be well suited for this opportunity. Accounting Specialist Required Qualifications:

• Approximately two or more years of experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, bookkeeping, or a related accounting role
• Understanding of payment posting, account reconciliation, and researching financial discrepancies
• Comfortable communicating with customers regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances
• Technical experience using ERP systems and strong Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on outstanding issues
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new processes
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others

Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities:

• Record customer payments and apply receipts to the appropriate invoices and accounts
• Prepare daily deposits and maintain accurate payment records
• Review customer account balances and investigate unapplied cash or payment discrepancies
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and outstanding balances
• Respond to customer questions about payments, invoices, and account activity
• Review billing information and coordinate corrections when discrepancies are identified
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist with cash and merchant-payment reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and organized account records
• Provide backup support for accounts payable, vendor statement reviews, purchasing, or inventory-related activities as needed
• Assist with additional accounting responsibilities and special projects as assigned
