Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Inpatient Rehab team. This role will be a Full Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and some holidays.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. 
\n
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit. 
\n
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations, according to department guidelines, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed. 
\n
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
\n
• Licensure : Occupational Therapist
\n
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
\n

\n

Preferred Qualification:

\n

\n
• Occupation Therapist (OT) experience
\n
