Allied Technician - Surgical Tech

Surgical TechnologistWe are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of surgical specialties, including general, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatry, urology, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and robotics (DaVinci).Responsibilities:Prepare the operating room, including setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies during procedures.Manage the sterile field effectively and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Perform counts of sponges and instruments to prevent retained surgical items.Maintain surgical equipment and ensure proper sterilization processes.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.Certification following a CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent.Pass the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.BLS certification is required.Experience with adult and pediatric surgical procedures is necessary.Shift Details:The position involves day shifts, working four 10-hour shifts per week, with a requirement for call. Call schedule includes one weekday per week and weekend rotations.Additional Information:Fingerprinting is required for all travelers in the state. Candidates must be prepared for a thorough background check prior to starting the position.
