Job Description

As Head of Quality Control, you will be responsible for the release analysis and stability testing of raw materials and active substances according to GMP standards. You will strategically build up the QC laboratory, lead your team, and design a powerful, customer-oriented quality management system. Become part of LGC and our mission: Science for a Safer World.

Your Main Tasks

• Lead the quality control according to §12 AMWHV and take responsibility for all release and stability tests
• Plan, build, and establish the QC laboratory for raw materials, bulk goods, and active substances based on oligonucleotides
• Lead the team technically and disciplinarily and ensure continuous training and development
• Monitor and control KPIs, budgets, and GMP-compliant analyses including documentation
• Validate, transfer, and evaluate analytical methods and test results, including OOS and change control
• Initiate and implement process improvements, support projects, and prepare for inspections and audits

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Scientific degree in natural sciences (chemistry, life sciences, pharmacy), ideally with a doctorate or relevant experience
• Leadership experience in quality control according to §12 AMWHV as well as several years of management and project responsibility
• Proven practice in the analytics of pharmaceuticals/active substances, preferably oligonucleotides, proteins, or peptides
• Expert knowledge in instrumental analytics (HPLC, LC/MS, GC, FT-IR, UV-VIS) and GMP-compliant processes
• Structured, solution-oriented working method with high self-motivation and sense of responsibility
• Team-oriented, communicative, customer-focused, very good German and English skills
