About Desert Clover Psychiatry Desert Clover Psychiatry is an evidence-based outpatient psychiatric practice serving children and adults (6-65) throughout Arizona. We provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and select cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy interventions in a collaborative, stigma-free environment. Our approach is proactive and tomorrow-minded. We believe mental healthcare should be thoughtful, practical, and individualized, not rushed or transactional. As a new provider joins our team, our operations staff immediately begins scheduling patients into your availability, allowing you to build a sustainable caseload without spending months marketing yourself or building a referral network. Quality Over Volume We intentionally avoid the high-volume medication management model. Our standard appointments include: 60-minute psychiatric evaluations 20 to 30-minute follow-up appointments Thoughtful psychiatric care requires time to listen, educate, collaborate, and make careful medication decisions. We believe providers make better clinical decisions when they aren’t watching the clock. A Technology-Forward Practice Technology should reduce administrative work, not create more of it. We continually evaluate and implement tools that improve quality, reduce repetitive work, and create a better experience for both patients and providers. We don’t adopt technology because it’s new. We adopt it because it meaningfully improves the delivery of care. Our providers utilize secure, HIPAA-compliant AI-assisted scribe tools that assist in organizing clinical conversations and drafting documentation. This significantly reduces the time spent charting after appointments. Every note is reviewed, edited, and approved by the provider before becoming part of the medical record. Clinical judgment, diagnoses, medication decisions, and treatment planning always remain entirely in the hands of the treating clinician. Our goal isn’t to practice psychiatry with AI. Our goal is to let providers spend less time typing and more time thinking and interacting with their patients. Independent Practice. Collaborative Team. Although this position begins as an independent contractor role, you’ll never practice in isolation. You’ll work alongside experienced psychiatric providers who value consultation, collaboration, and continuous learning. What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Diagnose psychiatric conditions using evidence-based assessment. Develop individualized medication treatment plans. Monitor medication effectiveness, tolerability, and safety. Provide patient education and shared decision-making around treatment options. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with referring providers and care teams when appropriate. Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with an engaged and motivated patient population. Who We’re Looking For Required qualifications include: Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active, unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner license DEA registration Professional liability insurance Strong clinical judgment Excellent communication skills Commitment to evidence-based psychiatric care If you’ll be providing telehealth services, you’ll need a secure private workspace and reliable high-speed internet. If you’ll be working in the office, we’d appreciate a desk plant. The plant is optional. The personality isn’t. Transparent Compensation and Career Growth We don’t believe in stagnant contracts. Instead, we’ve created a compensation model that supports providers while they build a practice and continues to grow alongside them. Phase One: Building Your Practice You’ll begin as an independent contractor earning 60% of all collected revenue. The practice retains 40% to provide: Credentialing Billing and collections Marketing Administrative staff Office space EHR and technology Operational support You focus on patient care. We’ll handle the business. Phase Two: Your Choice Once your panel reaches mutually agreed-upon benchmarks, you’ll choose the path that best fits your long-term goals.
