Certified Medical Assistant

Overview One 2 Wellness is seeking a reliable, professional, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing Obesity & Family Medicine practice in Plano, Texas. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, weight, height, and medical history Prepare patients for examinations and treatments Assist providers with office procedures and patient care Administer injections and medications as directed by providers and within scope of practice Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations Coordinate laboratory orders, referrals, and follow-up appointments Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with scheduling Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and infection control standards Support clinic operations and provide excellent customer service Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred Experience with EMR systems Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Phlebotomy experience preferred Obesity medicine, primary care, endocrinology, or wellness clinic experience is a plus Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid Holiday Opportunities for professional growth Supportive team environment Job Type: Full-time Location: Plano, TX #J-18808-Ljbffr DMS Care
