Residential Sales Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Residential Sales Technician for a direct hire opportunity serving residential customers throughout South King County and the South Sound area, including Kent, Federal Way, Des Moines, Auburn, Tacoma, and surrounding communities.

This is a customer-facing field sales role ideal for someone who enjoys meeting homeowners, understanding their needs, and recommending practical solutions. The position offers paid training, a structured sales process, and the opportunity to grow into a performance-based compensation plan with strong annual earning potential.

The right candidate will be professional, coachable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while representing the company in customers’ homes. This opportunity is a strong fit for someone who values supportive training, clear expectations, consultative selling, and the ability to earn based on results.

Key Responsibilities

- Meet with residential customers in their homes to understand needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Build trust with homeowners through professional, consultative, and customer-focused communication.
- Explain available solutions clearly, answer questions, and guide customers through the decision-making process.
- Follow established sales processes, maintain accurate customer information, and complete required documentation.
- Manage scheduled appointments and customer interactions across the assigned South King County and South Sound territory.
- Provide an excellent customer experience from the initial conversation through completion.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire, full-time position.
- Paid training begins at $25 per hour.
- After successful completion of training, compensation transitions to a commission-based pay structure.
- Successful first-year representatives typically earn $80,000 to $100,000+ annually, based on individual sales performance.
- Opportunity for additional earnings based on results.
- Territory includes South King County and South Sound communities.
- Washington State candidates only.

- Conduct in-home residential sales consultations with homeowners.

- Represent the company professionally throughout the assigned territory.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant sales, customer service, field service, or other customer-facing experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking directly with residential customers in a home setting.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to identify needs and recommend solutions.
- Ability to learn technical products, services, and company processes.
- Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and coachable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage a schedule effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must currently reside in Washington State.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in residential sales, outside sales, retail sales, automotive sales, hospitality, home services, or field service.
- Background in consultative selling or solution-based customer conversations.
- Experience working in a performance-based or commission-driven sales environment.
- Familiarity with residential construction, home improvement, or home service industries.
