QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Speech Therapy Assistant License Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions. Ability to instruct and manage student behavior. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE

25 hours of Practicum Major Responsibilities and Duties Therapy Under supervision, plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Assessment Complete referrals for students not yet in public Collect referrals for special education from various schools and deliver them to the special education office for logging in. Under supervision, collect accurate and ongoing data for speech students relating to therapy or other school-provided speech services. Participate with the supervisor in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings as requested by supervisor.
