About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer to lead its national organization, which serves as the voice for a large community of health and physical education professionals. The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and external leadership, with a focus on advancing the mission of the organization. This includes overseeing financial and operational performance, building strategic partnerships, and serving as the chief spokesperson and advocate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit or association executive leadership, with a proven track record in financial and program management, and experience in growing membership and developing non-dues revenue. A deep commitment to the mission of the organization and a background in education, particularly in a health-related field, is highly valued. Candidates for the CEO position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree or higher strongly preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' executive-level work experience. The role requires a leader with a strategic vision, operational discipline, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Key skills include strategic planning, financial acumen, outstanding communication, and the ability to lead organizational change.
