Starting Pay: $23.00/hour

Perks: $25.00 daily per diem while traveling and a company field truck provided. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Previous drilling or oilfield experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience in mechanical trades, construction, equipment operation, landscaping, farming/ranching, or military service are also encouraged to apply.

In this role, you will train directly alongside senior technicians to learn the mobilization, installation, operation, and maintenance of specialized surface rental equipment, including manual and automated chokes, mud/gas separators, and flare stacks, on active drilling sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly, rig-up, and rig-down of specialized rental tools, flowlines, manifolds, and surface equipment on drilling locations.

• Assist senior crew members with hydrostatic pressure testing to ensure system integrity.

• Use basic hand and power tools to clean, maintain, and prepare equipment, including chokes, valves, separators, and flare stacks.

• Follow all site safety protocols, wear required PPE, participate in daily safety meetings (JSAs), and maintain a strong safety-focused work environment.

• Work a 12-hour field rotation that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extensive travel.

• Adapt to changing field conditions and work outdoors in challenging weather environments.

Technical Progression & Career Pathway

Level I Technician: Develop the ability to perform independent rig-up, basic troubleshooting, manual choke operations, and standard hydrostatic pressure testing.

Level II Technician: Gain advanced technical independence, learn to calibrate automated choke control systems, manage high-pressure testing boundaries, and assist with mentoring new trainees.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Drilling or oilfield experience preferred, but not required.

• Mechanical, construction, equipment operation, landscaping, farming/ranching, or military experience is a plus.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in outdoor field environments.

• Willingness to work alternating day/night shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively.

• Strong work ethic, punctuality, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn complex mechanical systems.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
