AMT | Accredited Medical Assistant

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Accredited Medical Assistant (AMT). This role is vital in supporting healthcare providers by delivering compassionate patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of a medical assistant license, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate efficient patient flow. You will prepare patients for exams, administer immunizations under supervision, and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out provider orders accurately and timely.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained.
• Notify patients of test results as directed.
• Document patient complaints and vital signs, prepare patients for exams.
• Administer immunizations within scope and maintain proper documentation.
• Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and maintain cleanliness.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
• Adhere to infection control practices and support a positive patient experience.
• Float between specialties including Sleep Medicine and other clinics as needed.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with providers, patients, and team members.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers an 8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to work across various specialties. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, offering a supportive and community-focused atmosphere.
