MASTER AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | $20-$30 Hourly - NOT Flat Rate

THE POSITION

Reel's Auto Sales is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Master Automotive Technician to join our independent dealership. This is an all-around position working on a variety of makes, models, and years. Our shop handles everything from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics, major mechanical repairs, and engine work.

We are looking for someone who can diagnose accurately, repair correctly, and work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, computer, and drivability issues
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, brakes, tires, suspension, steering, and fluid services
• Perform major repairs including engines, timing components, cooling systems, transmissions, fuel and ignition systems, and exhaust/emissions
• Use diagnostic scan tools and other shop equipment
• Complete pre-sale inspections and identify necessary repairs
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs when needed
• Communicate repair needs and findings with management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Complete accurate records of work performed and parts used

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experienced automotive technician with strong diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot rather than simply replace parts
• Comfortable working on a wide variety of vehicles
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Basic hand tools required
• ASE certifications preferred, but not required

PAY & BENEFITS

Hourly Pay - No Flat Rate

• $20-$30 an hour depending on experience and skill
• 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• No mandatory overtime - additional overtime may be available
• 50% of health insurance premium paid for employee and family coverage
• IRA matching up to 3%
• 1-week paid vacation after 1 year
• 2-weeks paid vacation after 2 years
• Paid major holidays
• $100 monthly tool allowance
• Uniforms provided, cleaned, and maintained
