PCBA Test Engineer

About this Job Eridan is seeking a PCBA Test Engineer with deep expertise in RF and electrical testing to ensure all printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) are efficiently and effectively tested in a production environment. This role is critical to maintaining high product quality, reducing test cycle times, and supporting the launch of complex electronics products. You will play a pivotal role in developing test strategies, writing and deploying test software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring test coverage is robust across all assemblies. As our PCBA Test Engineer, you will: Design and implement PCBA-level RF and electrical test solutions, including Flying Probe, ICT, and FCT. Develop and maintain automated test software (primarily in C#) to support production test of PCBAs. Collaborate with fixture vendors to validate that fixture designs meet all test coverage and functional requirements. Work closely with the PCB design team to ensure optimal test point placement and accessibility. Partner with contract manufacturers (CMs) and test fixture designers to deploy reliable and repeatable production tests. Optimize and reduce test times without compromising coverage or reliability. Balance test coverage with efficiency to meet production throughput requirements. Develop reliable RF test strategies and ensure consistency across test stations and sites. Integrate automated tests within manufacturing constraints and evolving product architectures. Qualities of a Successful Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering , or a related technical field. Proven hands-on experience with Flying Probe, ICT (In-Circuit Test), FCT (Functional Circuit Test), and RF test methodologies. Proficiency in writing test software, particularly in C#. Experience in other languages (Python, C, C++) is a plus. Strong understanding of PCB design principles and electrical fundamentals. Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting board-level test processes in a production setting. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors.
