Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP Float)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and neonatal patients in an LDRP setting, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Read and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips independently using Traceview/PIP system
• Titrate common drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium per physician orders and unit protocols
• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines, including 1:1 ratios for patients on Pitocin, magnesium, or insulin drips and 1:3 ratios for couplet care
• Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurses to ensure safe patient care, including ambulation, turning, and transfer documentation
• Float to Med/Surg and Emergency Department as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Experience titrating obstetric drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin)
• Proficiency or ability to learn Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, and/or STABLE certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitors and Traceview/PIP EFM systems
• Experience floating to Med/Surg or Emergency Department settings
