POSITION TYPE: Part‑Time Job Description Provide targeted academic interventions for identified students and assist with the collection, analysis, and monitoring of student achievement, attendance, behavior, and intervention data. The specialist will collaborate with teachers, intervention teams, and administrators to identify student needs, monitor progress, and support the implementation of evidence‑based interventions. Qualifications Proficient technology skills Strong leadership and collaboration skills Strong instructional skills inclusive of oral and written communication Demonstrated effective instructional leadership Collect, organize, and analyze student data Assist in identifying data trends, achievement gaps, and instructional implications Create reports and dashboards to help stakeholders understand student data Performance Responsibilities Co‑coordinate and facilitate the school’s academic intervention program. Collaborate with teachers individually to identify the academic needs of students, set learning goals and targets, and develop best practices for continuous academic growth. Assist teachers with the collection and analysis of data and support the sharing of findings with all staff. Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate academic intervention and support services. Teach targeted literacy intervention to small groups of students daily using research‑based strategies and resources. Assist students with software and materials related to academic and literacy programs. Meet regularly with the classroom teacher to plan instruction that correlates with the individual student’s needs. Attend professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content, especially literacy. Maintain and submit accurate and up‑to‑date management records of all students’ progress. Maintain confidentiality concerning student records. Conduct professional development sessions. Perform other duties and responsibilities related to academic intervention as assigned by the supervisor.
