Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years pediatric OR experience preferred License: Required RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Scrub experience - Cardiac circulating experience - Ambulatory OR experience - First-time travelers welcome Description: This position involves providing nursing care in a pediatric operating room setting. The focus is on a multidisciplinary team-based approach to patient care. The role includes working with a variety of specialties including neurology, orthopedic/spine, otolaryngology, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, dental, cardiac, general surgery, and gastrointestinal. Responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety. Knowledge of Epic charting system is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in trauma care is required. Candidates must be comfortable floating to different departments as needed. This role requires the ability to work with various patient age groups including neonates, infants, and adolescents. Teamwork and effective communication are crucial for this position. Candidates must have a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
