If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.ResponsibilitiesPerforms and oversees civil engineering work, focused on site design components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructurePerforms and oversees conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparationCompletes and oversees detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for site civil aspects of treatment facility and infrastructure projectsConducts and reviews stormwater hydraulic calculations and/or modeling and incorporates into the site civil designDevelops, reviews, and coordinates permitting associated with site development for treatment facility and infrastructure projectsAssists with coordinating and performs quality reviews of subconsultant workPrepares and reviews technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverablesReviews contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specificationsProvides, coordinates, and oversees engineering services during constructionServes as the lead civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects and project manager on site/civil engineering projectsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering fieldMinimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience in civil/site development, stormwater, and permittingRegistration as a Professional Engineer Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problemsAbility to develop and oversee working drawings for civil plans (site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)Experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projectsExperience with site development requirements and permitting; experience with environmental resource permitsStrong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teamAbility to manage, oversee, and train junior civil engineering staffProficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3DPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering fieldExperience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop engineering drawingsExperience with GIS and/or stormwater hydrologic modeling softwareCompensation RangeAn employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.Other Compensation and BenefitsCarollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the support employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
