About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Advanced skills in ACLS. Familiarity with cardiac drips and insulin drips. Description: Patient ratios are an estimation and not a guarantee. Unit has 29 beds with an ideal patient ratio of 1:4, currently running at 1:5. Unit staffing includes unit coordinators and patient care technicians. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, bladder scans, and vein finders. Documentation system is Meditech. Staff required to work 36 hours per week. Staff may float to areas of their competencies. Must provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs with no artificial or gel nails. Vital signs to be checked every 4 hours, or more frequently based on patient condition. Blood glucose checks as ordered. Required documentation and assessment every shift. Candidates should be team-oriented and work well with others. Self-scheduling is available, especially for those who prefer consecutive night shifts. This facility is recognized for its supportive culture and management.
