Customer Quality Engineer

Location: Oak Creek, WI – on-site - relocation assistance available

Salary: $90-120k plus bonus and extensive benefits package

About the Opportunity

Join a leading manufacturer of high-performance paints and coatings for the automotive industry .

This is a customer-facing quality role responsible for resolving quality issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions , and acting as the key liaison between customers and internal manufacturing teams.

Key Requirements

• Automotive and coatings experience

• Working knowledge of IATF 16949

• Experience managing customer quality issues and complaints

• Strong knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone and root cause analysis

• Experience with corrective and preventive actions

• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, LPA and customer-specific requirements

• Experience supporting customer and third-party audits

• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead customer quality issues from containment through to closure

• Manage customer complaints, RCA and corrective actions

• Act as escalation point for critical quality concerns

• Support and lead customer audits

• Ensure compliance with IATF and customer requirements

• Identify quality risks and drive preventive actions

• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and commercial teams
